Friesen Group

The Friesen Group investigates conventional and unconventional qubits, including the theory and simulation of semiconducting, superconducting, and neutral-atom qubits. Our work lies at the interface between Materials Science, Condensed Matter, and Quantum Computing. Particular emphasis is given to qubit implementations based at UW; however we collaborate with many theoretical and experimental groups around the world.
